Seventeen-year-old Israeli talent Orian Goren continued to gain valuable playing time with Barcelona's senior team during their second preseason match against Udinese on Saturday. Goren entered the game off the bench for 29 minutes under coach Enzo Flic, but Barcelona was unable to avoid a 1-0 defeat. According to reports from Spain, Goren is expected to return to the reserve squad on Monday as senior players who rested after the World Cup rejoin the team.

Mark Bernal, commenting after the match, praised the young players' performances, saying, "The young players are playing very well, they surprised everyone. We hope they maintain this mentality and intensity and seize their opportunities when they come." Coach Enzo Flic acknowledged the challenges of this preseason due to many absences as players recover from the World Cup, noting, "The preseason is not typical. We won't be at 100% until after the international break."

Regarding potential new signings, Flic emphasized patience, stating, "We always talk about improving and adding players we need, but we must be patient." He also addressed Ronald Araujo's recent transfer to Liverpool, expressing respect and regret: "Ronald is a great guy and player, but our playing style differs from what he prefers. He is powerful and fast. It was difficult not being able to use him as I wanted. Past mistakes affected him mentally. I saw him happy, and I wish him all the best. He is a wonderful person, player, and captain. Changes in life are normal."
