Guy Zu-Aretz Reveals Ongoing Back Problem as Yael Bar Zohar Joins Him on Set

TV host and actor Guy Zu-Aretz says he is still struggling with a slipped disc, a condition he has been dealing with for several weeks and that has left him in severe pain and with major movement limitations. Despite doctors’ instructions to rest, he has continued showing up for live tapings of the reality show "Big Brother" on Reshet 13.

That decision prompted his wife, Yael Bar Zohar, to take an unusual step and accompany him to the live broadcast so she could keep an eye on him closely. In a behind-the-scenes video from the studio, Zu-Aretz told viewers, "I wasn't hallucinating, she is indeed here," referring to her presence in the dressing room.

When asked why she came, Bar Zohar replied, "To keep an eye on you so you won’t lift things, so you’ll sit." Zu-Aretz joked that "she doesn’t trust me," and explained that his leg and back are still "not good" because of the disc herniation. He said she had issued an ultimatum for the day, "Either I come, or I come!"

The clip also included a family joke, after Zu-Aretz asked her whether she had told him he reminded her of his father. Bar Zohar confirmed it and said, "Exactly like your father, exactly. He doesn’t know how to rest. You tell him 'calm down' and he doesn't calm down." Zu-Aretz ended the video by thanking her for her care and support, saying, "I love you. She’s a lioness!"
