Moshe Feiglin Criticizes UNRWA, Israeli Governments, and Oslo Framework as Undermining Israel

Moshe Feiglin, chairman of the Zehut party, sharply criticized UNRWA, the Israeli Supreme Court, and successive Israeli governments, accusing UNRWA of perpetuating the Palestinian refugee issue to undermine Israel's sovereignty. Speaking outside the Supreme Court, Feiglin claimed UNRWA was established by the UN to maintain the Palestinian refugee status across generations, even for those who have settled and built homes, using this as a tool against Jewish sovereignty in Israel. He further accused the organization of encouraging and funding terrorism, citing UNRWA activists' involvement with the Al-Nukhba militants responsible for the October 7 massacre. Although the Knesset passed a law against UNRWA, the Supreme Court is reportedly considering overturning it.

Feiglin also criticized right-wing Israeli governments for their handling of UNRWA, alleging that former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought German funding to replace the halted U.S. support after President Donald Trump labeled UNRWA a terror supporter. Responding to concerns about Israel's responsibility for the Palestinian population without UNRWA, Feiglin noted that Trump had proposed facilitating migration from Gaza early in his term, but Israel declined to implement it. He accused Israel of effectively allowing Hamas to govern Gaza through alternative frameworks, referencing a recent government decision to appoint a technocratic administration there.

Addressing the controversy surrounding Central Command Chief Aviv Kochavi and Defense Minister Israel Katz, Feiglin sided with Katz, condemning the idea of a military chief appealing to the judiciary against the defense minister as unacceptable. He linked this dispute to the administrative detention case of Yinon Dradik, alleging Kochavi's refusal to release him. Feiglin also criticized the Shin Bet's Jewish Department and warned of internal issues within the nationalist camp, blaming excessive institutional loyalty for harming nationalist figures.

Concluding, Feiglin denounced the Oslo Accords' division of Judea and Samaria into Areas A, B, and C as a flawed concept absent from the Torah, asserting that the entire Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people. He warned that as long as the right-wing adheres to Oslo's mindset, victory is unattainable, urging the right to present a genuine alternative to prevent a left-wing return to power amid a strengthening Jewish identity among the public.
