Radio Host Natan Zehavi Seeks New Job After Winning Major Lawsuit Against Former Employer

Veteran Israeli radio host Natan Zehavi announced on Facebook that he is looking for a new job, requesting only serious offers. This announcement came shortly after he won a significant legal battle against his former employer, the radio station 103FM. Zehavi is set to receive a total compensation of 871,500 shekels, including 796,500 shekels in damages and 75,000 shekels in legal fees, following a court ruling in his favor.

The dispute originated after Zehavi was suspended from 103FM at the end of 2022 due to controversial remarks he made during a live broadcast of his show "Zehavi Angry." In his comments, he criticized certain public figures for quoting religious texts and practicing religious rituals, using strong language that led to his suspension. Zehavi refused to apologize, which resulted in the station deciding not to reinstate him.

About six months later, Zehavi filed a lawsuit against 103FM for breach of contract and defamation, initially seeking 2.6 million shekels in damages. The court partially accepted his claim and awarded him the compensation mentioned above. His Facebook post seeking employment quickly gained traction online, including a notable endorsement from television personality Dan Shilon, who praised Zehavi as "a dear man, clean-handed, and an excellent broadcaster."
