Itamar Eitam Removed as Panelist from Channel 13 Following Heated Clash with Protest Leader

Channel 13 has decided to remove Itamar Eitam, son of former MK Effi Eitam, from his role as a panelist on the program hosted by Moria Asraf and Eyal Berkovich. The decision came after a fierce confrontation behind the scenes, which Itamar Eitam detailed in a video shared with his followers. The incident stemmed from a direct clash with Eyal Naveh, a leader of the "Brothers in Arms" protest movement. During the broadcast, Eitam called Naveh a "refuser," which apparently struck a sensitive nerve. After the cameras stopped rolling, Naveh reportedly shouted at Eitam, "You and your father are eating death," causing a commotion that led host Moria Asraf to eject Naveh from the studio for his offensive remarks.

Despite Naveh's removal, Channel 13 also chose to dismiss Eitam, citing a desire to maintain "sacred symmetry" in their coverage. Eitam acknowledged the harsh realities behind the conflict, stating, "Eyal is right about one thing, we really have eaten death. I took a bullet, we experienced casualties, injuries, and a lot of pain." He emphasized that this pain motivated him to speak out to the Israeli public. Eitam concluded by affirming his commitment to continue voicing his perspective despite the intimidation, expressing readiness to appear on other platforms to discuss the war, Israel's strengths, and resilience amid suffering.
