Ayala Barkovitch Reveals Near-Fight Between Itamar Eitam and Eyal Naveh on Moriah and Berko Show

During a commercial break on the Israeli news program "Moriah and Berko" aired on Channel 13, a heated confrontation nearly escalated into a physical fight between retired Lieutenant Colonel Itamar Eitam and activist Eyal Naveh from the "Brothers in Arms" movement. The incident was disclosed by broadcaster Ayala Barkovitch during a joint radio broadcast with Arel Segal on 103FM. Barkovitch explained that the argument became so intense that he had to physically separate the two, which led to both men leaving the studio. He described Naveh as very aggressive and Eitam as provocative but confirmed that no punches were thrown because he intervened.

Last weekend, Eitam announced that Channel 13's management had decided to end his participation in the show. He attributed this decision to the conflict with Naveh, which began on air after Naveh called him a "refuser." Eitam recounted that after the broadcast, Naveh shouted threats at him and his father, escalating the tension behind the scenes until reporter Moriah Asraf removed Naveh from the studio. Despite the turmoil, Eitam stated that he and his colleagues would continue to speak out through other platforms, condemning the violent bullying that led to their removal. Barkovitch supported the decision to suspend both men, citing the near-violent nature of their dispute.
