Former IDF Officer Itamar Eitam Reveals Why He Was Removed From Channel 13 Panel

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Itamar Eitam, a former commander of Battalion 6828 who was wounded during fighting in the Gaza Strip, recently served as a panelist on Channel 13's "Moria and Berko" program. In recent days, his appearances on the channel were abruptly stopped. Eitam disclosed on Facebook that the decision to remove him was linked to a confrontation with fellow panelist Eyal Naveh. During a broadcast, Eitam called Naveh a "refuser," which apparently struck a sensitive nerve. After the show, Naveh reportedly shouted threats at Eitam, including "you will eat death" and "your father will eat death," causing a disturbance in the studio. Producer Moria Asraf intervened and removed Naveh from the set due to his abusive behavior. Despite this, Channel 13 decided to dismiss Eitam as well, citing a desire for "sacred symmetry." Eitam expressed disappointment but vowed to continue speaking out and reaching the Israeli public through other platforms, condemning the violent bullying that led to his removal. He thanked Channel 13 for the opportunity but emphasized that he would not be silenced.
