Beersheba Deputy Mayor Shimon Tobol Leaves Degel HaTorah to Join Avi Maoz's Noam Party

Shimon Tobol, the deputy mayor of Beersheba, has announced his departure from the ultra-Orthodox Degel HaTorah party to join the Noam party led by Knesset member Avi Maoz. Tobol, who previously led an independent campaign in Beersheba securing three seats for Degel HaTorah in the municipal elections, will now be placed on Noam's candidate list for the upcoming Knesset elections. He personally informed Degel HaTorah chairman MK Moshe Gafni of his decision in recent days. Noam is preparing to officially launch its election campaign and open its central campaign headquarters, where Tobol will be formally introduced as a new party member.
