Hundreds of Southern Israeli Students Celebrate Completion of 26 Talmud Tractates

Hundreds of eighth-grade students from southern Israel gathered for a significant Torah celebration marking the completion of dozens of Talmud tractates. The event was honored by prominent Torah leaders including Yeshiva head Rabbi Aharon Filtz, Netivot community rabbi Rabbi Shlomo Montag, Rabbi Moshe Breuer, Ofakim community rabbi Rabbi Yitzhak Pinkus, Kiryat Gat community rabbi Rabbi Aharon Makhlouf, among others.

The highlight was the recognition of the students' achievement in completing 26 tractates after a year of dedicated study. The rabbis emphasized the importance of personalized guidance and a strong connection to Torah study, noting that regular mentorship by a learned scholar helps students develop spiritually, academically, and personally. They also stressed the value of studying with a chavruta (study partner) in the evenings as a key to growth in Torah.

Rabbi Ariel Yaflah, who leads the central mentorship project, summarized the event by highlighting the success of their educational approach focused on individual attention and fostering a deep bond with Torah learning. He stated, "Every child has the ability to grow and succeed when given the right care, guidance, and investment." The ceremony underscored the potential of young students to reach spiritual heights when supported properly.
