BMW Launches Updated 7 Series in Israel with Hybrid and Electric Models

BMW's flagship 7 Series has received a facelift and is now available for pre-order in Israel through local importer Delek Motors, with first deliveries expected in October 2026. The updated lineup includes four powertrain options: a mild-hybrid gasoline engine, two plug-in hybrid variants, and a fully electric i7 model.

The entry-level 740 xDrive features a 3.0-liter gasoline engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system producing 400 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and offering fuel consumption of 12.3 km per liter. The first plug-in hybrid, 750e xDrive, combines a 3.0-liter gasoline engine (313 hp) with a 197 hp electric motor for a total of 489 hp, accelerating to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The top plug-in hybrid, M760e xDrive, delivers 612 hp combined, with a 426 hp gasoline engine, reaching 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. Both plug-in hybrids have an 18.7 kWh battery enabling electric ranges of 76-77 km and support home charging in about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

The fully electric i7 60 xDrive offers 544 hp with dual motors, accelerating to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. It is equipped with a 112.5 kWh lithium-ion battery providing a 679 km range. Home charging (22 kW) takes nearly 6 hours, while fast charging (250 kW) reaches 80% in 28 minutes.

Four trim levels are available, varying by powertrain. The Pure Excellence trim includes leather upholstery, wood trim, heated and ventilated seats with massage, panoramic sunroof, advanced climate control, 360-degree cameras, wireless charging, and a premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system. The M-Expressive trim adds rear seat ventilation and massage, M-Sport design elements, and sport brakes. The M-Performance trim, exclusive to the M760e, features enhanced lighting, Alcantara headliner, a 35-speaker sound system, and sport-tuned suspension. The U-Ultimate trim is exclusive to the i7 electric model and includes similar luxury and performance features.

Safety features are comprehensive but the model lacks a child presence alert, earning a 7 out of 9 rating from Israel's Ministry of Transportation. The 7 Series facelift has not been tested by Euro NCAP crash tests.

Pricing in Israel starts at 890,000 shekels for the 740 xDrive Pure Excellence and goes up to 1.316 million shekels for the fully electric i7 60 xDrive U-Ultimate, with higher trims including an Executive Lounge rear seat package.
