Daniel Peretz, the Israeli goalkeeper for Southampton, addressed concerns about a wrist brace he wore during a recent training match against Eastleigh. Despite the brace's dramatic appearance, Peretz clarified in an interview with English media that it is purely protective and does not indicate a serious injury. He confirmed he feels well and is fully capable of playing and training, noting that the brace has been used intermittently since late last season.
Peretz joined Southampton permanently from Bayern Munich earlier this summer after a successful half-season loan. As he prepares for his first full season with the Saints in 2026/27, the goalkeeper aims to build on his momentum and help the club secure promotion back to the Premier League, a goal that narrowly eluded them last season. The reassurance about his health comes as relief to fans worried about a potential long-term absence.
Southampton and Peretz are now focused on the upcoming campaign, with the Israeli international expected to be a key figure in the team's efforts to return to England's top flight.
