Amid nearly two weeks of escalating conflict between the United States and Iran, Iranian officials have intensified their threats in response to US warnings. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and IRGC Air Force Commander Musavi issued stern warnings following President Donald Trump's declaration that the US would destroy bridges or power stations in Tehran if Iran continued attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Araghchi emphasized Iran's defense doctrine as "eye for an eye," stating that any aggression against Iran, including attacks on its infrastructure, would provoke a powerful and decisive response. He added that any party supporting such aggression would also be considered a legitimate target. Musavi threatened that if roads and power plants in Iran were attacked, Tehran would cut electricity to US regional allies.

Iranian officials further warned that in areas where Iran does not sell oil, no one else would be able to sell oil either, underscoring their stance that regional security depends on the absence of US forces. They declared that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz would not return to its pre-conflict state.

The US military has conducted 11 consecutive nights of strikes against Iranian targets, including drone hangars and storage facilities, with explosions reported across several Iranian provinces such as Khuzestan, Hormozgan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Bushehr, Hamadan, and East Azerbaijan. These operations aim to diminish Tehran's ability to threaten commercial shipping lanes after Iran attacked over 30 commercial vessels in the past three months.

President Trump reiterated that any Iranian attack on ships in the Strait of Hormuz would be met with US strikes on bridges or power stations, including those in Tehran. He also vowed to heavily bomb any Iranian site suspected of nuclear development, specifically mentioning the fortified Pica Mountain complex, which has been off-limits to IAEA inspectors. Trump claimed these actions would set Iran back 20-25 years and suggested Tehran is eager for urgent negotiations.
