Maccabi Petah Tikva Set to Profit from Lamak Benda’s Potential Serie A Exit

Lamak Benda, who left Maccabi Petah Tikva four years ago to join Italian Serie A club Lecce, may soon be on the move again after a recent dispute with Lecce. The player reportedly refused to attend the team’s training camp, causing tensions that could lead to his departure. Lecce, with less than a year remaining on Benda’s contract, has set a transfer price of 5 to 6 million euros to avoid losing him for free in January.

Maccabi Petah Tikva stands to benefit financially from this potential transfer, as they retained 15% of any future sale when they sold Benda to Lecce. If the transfer fee reaches 6 million euros, Petah Tikva could earn approximately 630,000 euros, representing 15% of the profit margin between the original and new sale prices, plus an additional 30,000 euros in development fees. Similarly, Maccabi Netanya is also expected to receive a comparable sum in development fees if the transfer goes through.
