The story · English

WSC Sports, a sports technology company specializing in AI-driven content automation, announced plans to lay off approximately 70 employees, mostly based in Israel. The company began hearing employee appeals today, with an estimated 10% workforce reduction expected. Founded in 2011, WSC Sports is headquartered in Israel with additional offices in New York, London, Sydney, and Asia. It provides technology enabling major sports organizations like the NBA, ESPN, YouTubeTV, and La Liga to deliver personalized content experiences to fans.

The company’s platform automates the creation, management, distribution, and monetization of sports content, helping rights holders expand exposure, grow fan bases, and generate new revenue opportunities across multiple platforms. Since its inception, WSC Sports has raised $150 million and employs around 680 people globally, with about 550 employees at its headquarters in Ramat Gan, Israel.

The layoffs are part of a broad restructuring effort prompted by global macroeconomic changes and are not limited to any specific department, role, or product. WSC Sports described the decision as difficult but necessary to ensure continued growth and investment in strategic areas. The company expressed appreciation for its employees’ contributions and committed to providing comprehensive support, personal guidance, and favorable conditions to those affected by the layoffs.
