Omer Rahamim Enters Religious Zionism Party Primaries Backed by Bezalel Smotrich

Omer Rahamim, CEO of the Yesha Council, is preparing to make his official political debut by running in the internal primaries of the Religious Zionism party, according to Knesset correspondent Amiel Yerachy from i24NEWS. Rahamim has long been considered a close associate of Bezalel Smotrich, the party chairman and Israel's Finance Minister. Political sources within the party revealed that Rahamim's inner circle has already begun actively campaigning behind the scenes, collecting signatures from party central committee members on his behalf to secure his place in the race.

Rahamim was appointed CEO of the Yesha Council after holding several public roles, including serving as a senior advisor to Smotrich in various government ministries. His move to run in the primaries appears to be an effort to convert his behind-the-scenes influence in settlement affairs into an official seat in the Knesset. As of now, Rahamim's office has not issued any comment on the matter.
