- In Gaza, survivors are searching for relatives’ bodies buried under the rubble after the war.
- The article says about 10,000 people are still missing, and one survivor said they had to search for the bodies “to prove it to the world.”
In Gaza, people who survived the fighting are now trying to recover the bodies of relatives still buried under rubble, in what the article describes as a new daily reality after the war. The piece says about 10,000 people are still missing. One survivor, Ran Levi Talbi, said, “We went through genocide, but we had to look for the bodies to prove it to the world.”
The article says families are digging through destroyed areas to find and identify the dead, while the scale of the devastation makes the work slow and painful. It presents the searches as part of life in Gaza after the destruction left by the war, with many deaths still unaccounted for and burials delayed because bodies remain trapped under collapsed buildings.
