Colombian Man Arrested for Smuggling 10 Kg of Cocaine Disguised as Pilot at Bogota Airport

A man attempting to board a flight from Colombia to Spain was arrested at El Dorado International Airport in Bogota after police discovered he was carrying about 10 kilograms of cocaine concealed on his body. The suspect wore a blue pilot jacket with gold shoulder stripes and claimed to be part of an international aircrew, apparently trying to exploit the trust and authority associated with pilot uniforms to bypass security checks unnoticed.

Security personnel became suspicious of his behavior and detained him before boarding a flight to Barcelona. Police footage shows officers removing multiple rectangular packages and a specially designed belt used to hide the drugs from the suspect's upper body. Authorities estimate the seized cocaine could have been divided into approximately 25,000 doses for the European market.

The suspect, a foreign national whose identity was not disclosed, remains in custody as investigators probe whether he acted alone or was part of a larger international drug trafficking network attempting to smuggle cocaine from Colombia to Europe via commercial flights.
