Following the footsteps of Israeli retailers Osher Ad and Rami Levy, Super-Pharm has entered the car sales market, offering electric vehicles through its online platform. Customers can reserve a car with a 2,000 shekel deposit and complete the purchase at one of five AION showrooms across Israel, in partnership with importer Orion Mobility from the Union Group.
Super-Pharm is selling two electric models from the AION brand: the family crossover AION V, featuring a five-star safety rating, extensive equipment, and a range of up to 510 kilometers, and the premium AION HT PURE SUV, which boasts a luxurious design, advanced technology, and spacious interior. Both models come with an 8-year manufacturer warranty covering the vehicle and battery.
Purchasers of the AION V via Super-Pharm’s online site receive benefits worth approximately 19,500 shekels, including a 12,000 shekel discount off the list price, a 5,000 shekel gift card for Super-Pharm products, and a complimentary home charging station valued at 2,500 shekels. The AION HT PURE is exclusively available online for 179,990 shekels and includes the same gift card and charging station offers.
This move reflects a growing trend among Israeli retail chains to expand beyond traditional consumer goods into high-value products like cars, and sometimes even real estate, aiming to attract customers and enhance brand engagement. The strategy resembles that of large U.S. retailers such as Costco, which sell a wide range of products under one roof, from food to vehicles.
