Beitar Jerusalem is set to open the 2026/27 season with a festive training session at Beit Vagan on Tuesday evening, attracting thousands of fans. While excitement builds among supporters, the club continues to finalize its roster, informing four players they are not part of the plans for the upcoming season. Defender Uri Dahan has been told he will struggle for significant playing time and may seek a transfer to secure more minutes. Similarly, players Ravid Abergil and Ilai Hajaj have been notified they are not in the professional plans for the season.

Meanwhile, Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest has renewed its interest in Portuguese player Ailson Tabarsh, initially proposing to take over his contract but now willing to pay a transfer fee. Beitar, which purchased Tabarsh for approximately $200,000 last summer, prefers a loan or a paid transfer.

On the fitness front, midfielder Tomer Yosefi is showing promising recovery progress from his injury, with the club optimistic he will be ready for the Europa Conference League second-leg match against AEK Larnaca. He is expected to rest during the upcoming league game against Hapoel Tel Aviv, alongside Luka Gadrani. Due to the absence of Georgian defender and the suspension of Brian Crabali, Liel Drai and Gil Cohen are likely to start in central defense against Hapoel Tel Aviv.

The club is preparing a warm welcome for new signings Sean Wiseman, Daniel Vorko, Noam Motza, and Tomer Yosefi during the opening training session. This comes amid notable departures including Jesund Gonzalez, Yarin Levi, and Dor Micha. Jerusalem police are coordinating security for the event, which will feature player sets distributed to fans to enhance the celebratory atmosphere.
