Waze Introduces Personalized Navigation and Reduced Voice Guidance Features in Israel

Waze is launching two new features aimed at enhancing the driving experience for users in Israel and worldwide. The first feature offers personalized navigation that adapts to each driver's habits, such as preferences for highways or local roads, by analyzing their travel history combined with Waze's local traffic data. Users can still choose different routes or disable personalization in the app settings.

The second feature, called "Less Talking," reduces the number and length of voice prompts during driving, allowing for uninterrupted listening to music, podcasts, or conversations. Despite the reduction in voice guidance, critical safety alerts such as warnings about road hazards, upcoming turns, and lane changes will continue to be announced.

These updates will be available in the coming days on Android and iOS devices. Waze CEO Guy Berkowitz emphasized that the new features provide a more intelligent, simple, and personalized navigation experience tailored to individual driving preferences without compromising essential safety information.
