Waze Rolls Out Easier Trip Planning Feature for Users

Waze is gradually releasing a new interface update that simplifies planning trips from a starting point other than the user's current location. This change aims to make it significantly easier for drivers to check travel times or plan routes from different origins.

Previously, planning a trip from an alternative starting point was possible but cumbersome, requiring users to navigate through menus or perform extra map actions. This made it difficult for those wanting to check commute times from work or another address for later in the day.

The update introduces a dedicated search bar next to the destination field, allowing users to input and select an address as their departure point. Additionally, Waze has integrated a button to quickly swap the origin and destination, making trip planning more intuitive.

The new feature is being deployed incrementally and is not yet available to all users. Some drivers in Israel are already seeing the update on both Android and Apple devices. Users who haven't received it yet may not be experiencing a glitch, as the rollout is phased. While ensuring Waze is updated to the latest version is recommended, the feature may still take time to appear due to the company's distribution schedule.
