Maccabi Haifa is preparing for the upcoming season and has identified 25-year-old Austrian defender Emmanuel Eivu as a potential signing. Recent reports from Austria highlight a dispute between Eivu and his current club, Sturm Graz. In recent weeks, Sturm Graz demoted Eivu to their reserve team and barred him from training with the first team, prompting the player to express strong dissatisfaction with the club's treatment.

Eivu sought assistance from the Austrian players' union, which intervened and secured his reinstatement to the first team. The union's chairman publicly condemned the club's conduct, stating that Eivu was denied access to the locker room and had his locker emptied of personal belongings. He described the club's behavior as "bullying of the highest order" and indicated that they possess additional evidence of the club's misconduct.

The deteriorating relationship between Eivu and Sturm Graz could facilitate his transfer to Maccabi Haifa, offering the player a fresh start. Last season, Eivu made 27 appearances for Sturm Graz's first team. Maccabi Haifa continues to monitor the situation as it finalizes preparations for the new season.
