Tensions in the Gulf: Trump Threatens to Seize Iran’s Oil Island

U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening to seize Iran’s “oil island” in the Persian Gulf. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, he wrote: “The United States will strike Iran (whose navy, air force, radar, air defense system, and all other forms of defense, along with most of its offensive capability, were obliterated! with great force tonight. At some point in the not-too-distant future, we will take control of Kharg Island and other oil infrastructure points, and gain complete control of their oil and gas markets, as we did with Venezuela, which is working brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America.”
