Passenger Nearly Sucked Out of Ryanair Plane Window After Engine Part Hits It

A 61-year-old Serbian passenger on a Ryanair flight from Greece to Germany narrowly escaped death after a window shattered mid-flight due to a severe engine malfunction. A metal part detached from the engine and struck the passenger cabin window with great force, causing it to break instantly. The rapid decompression created a powerful suction effect that pulled the man partially out of the aircraft, with his head and shoulders extending outside the plane.

Thanks to his seatbelt, the passenger was prevented from being fully sucked out. Fellow passengers seated nearby, along with the man's wife, quickly grabbed hold of him by his clothing and body, holding on for about five tense minutes until the pilots managed to reduce altitude and stabilize the cabin pressure. The flight then made an emergency landing back at Thessaloniki airport.

The passenger was hospitalized with severe friction burns from the wind and contact with the aircraft but was reported to be in stable condition. Ryanair has launched an immediate investigation to determine how the engine part detached and caused the dangerous incident. Passengers described hearing a loud noise like a tire bursting, followed by screams, oxygen masks deploying, and a sharp smell in the cabin.
