MyHeritage Announces Global Layoffs Affecting 15% of Workforce Including Israeli Staff
MyHeritage, the Israeli tech company specializing in family history and DNA testing, has announced a global layoff plan that will reduce its workforce by approximately 15%. The company currently employs around 500 people worldwide, with the layoffs expected to affect several dozen employees in its Israeli offices. Recently, MyHeritage launched new AI-driven tools, including Scribe AI, which helps decipher, transcribe, translate, and analyze historical documents and old family photos. Another feature, Country Coding, automatically adds flags to family trees based on key ancestral event locations. Despite these technological advancements, the company is moving forward with workforce reductions as part of a broader global restructuring effort.
