Man Attempts Bank Robbery in Beersheba Using Gas Cylinders as Fake Bomb
The State Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against Vyacheslav Shmilov, 52, from Beersheba, for attempting to rob a bank branch. According to the indictment, Shmilov arrived at the bank wearing a hat and mask, carrying two gas cylinders connected with tape and wire to resemble an explosive device. He demanded money from the bank employees and even lit a lighter near the cylinders to intimidate them. When the bank staff alerted the police and Shmilov realized law enforcement was approaching, he fled the scene. He faces charges of attempted robbery and assault.
