The Israeli Ministry of Health and the Israel Police have issued an urgent public warning against the marketing and distribution of a product known as "Khat Drops." Laboratory tests have revealed that this product, deceptively marketed as a natural and harmless supplement, actually contains methamphetamine, also known as crystal meth.

Authorities are observing a disturbing trend of this dangerous synthetic drug being distributed under the guise of "Khat Drops." This practice poses extreme health risks, with users often unaware they are consuming a potent and addictive hard drug. The manipulative marketing presents the drops as "natural," while they are in fact highly addictive and destructive chemical substances.

Officials emphasize that any product derived from the khat plant, including drops, beverages, and capsules, is illegal in Israel and falls under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance. Their production, marketing, distribution, and consumption are strictly prohibited and constitute a criminal offense. The Ministry of Health cannot approve such products; only the chewing of fresh khat leaves in their natural form is permitted.

The "Khat Drops" were packaged innocently and sold in stores specializing in health products, leading many consumers to believe they were legitimate, approved dietary supplements. These products were marketed as "natural extracts" or "khat oil" for appetite suppression, weight loss, improved concentration, and increased energy.

In light of these alarming findings, the Ministry of Health and the Israel Police urge the public to completely refrain from purchasing or consuming any products marketed as derived from the khat plant, including "Khat Drops." They also request citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspected marketing, sale, or distribution of these products to law enforcement immediately to prevent harm to life.
