Israel Police Conduct Nationwide Readiness Exercise

The Israel Police launched a large-scale nationwide exercise on Sunday, which will continue through Monday, involving increased police presence and vehicle movement across various locations in the country. Authorities emphasized that the drill is a pre-planned readiness training and not a response to any security or criminal incident. The exercise aims to enhance operational capabilities and preparedness of forces.

While a comprehensive list of participating cities was not provided, the police issued a separate announcement regarding an exercise by the Tel Aviv District police in Or Yehuda on Tuesday, November 10th. It remains unclear if this specific drill is connected to the broader national exercise.

The exact scenarios being tested were not detailed, but such drills typically involve practicing rapid response to various locations, inter-unit coordination, and command and control activation during emergencies. This follows similar large-scale exercises conducted by the police in September and late August, which focused on security scenarios ahead of the High Holidays and the start of the school year, respectively.

Police urged the public to continue with their daily routines and to follow any instructions given by officers on the ground if necessary. In the event of a real emergency, citizens are reminded to call the emergency hotline at 100. The police stated their goal is to maintain a high level of operational readiness across all their systems.
