The simulation, which ran 20,000 scenarios, projects Israel's qualification odds at a mere 5.6%, while Palestine's stand at 12%. This marks a stark contrast, as Israel has not qualified for a major tournament since 1970.

The model, published by 'WC30', considers factors such as FIFA rankings, team offensive and defensive statistics, and the competitive difficulty of regional World Cup qualifiers. A key reason for the disparity in projected success is the different qualification paths: Israel competes in the tougher European qualifiers, which offer 14 direct spots, while Palestine is in the Asian qualifiers, which have eight direct spots.

Despite the simulation's outcome, Israel currently holds a higher FIFA ranking than Palestine. The Israeli team is ranked 77th globally with 1,326 points, whereas Palestine is ranked 92nd with 1,254 points.
