The Israeli Referees' Association has acknowledged that referee Aviad Shiloh made three critical errors against Bnei Yehuda during their State Cup match against Maccabi Ashdod. The association's chairman of the national refereeing committee, Ziv Adler, confirmed in a letter to Bnei Yehuda CEO Oshri Dadai that Shiloh's mistakes significantly impacted the game, which Bnei Yehuda lost. The errors included a wrongly awarded penalty to Ashdod in the 121st minute, which the club claims decided the match, and a failure to issue a second yellow card to Ashdod player Max Grachkin in the 111th minute. The committee also stated that a penalty should have been awarded to Bnei Yehuda in the 64th minute and that Shiloh should have received a second yellow card in the 96th minute. The association criticized Shiloh's performance, noting that the failures were reflected in his review report, but firmly rejected any claims of bias, stating the errors were purely professional. Bnei Yehuda welcomed the acknowledgment of the mistakes but expressed frustration, questioning accountability and demanding measures to prevent future occurrences. The club stated that while admitting errors is important, true responsibility is measured by subsequent actions, and they cannot simply move on as if nothing happened after three decisive calls went against them in one game.
