The Joint List party has officially announced it will recommend Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, as the candidate to form the next government. The party stated in an official announcement that the decision was unanimous. The Joint List explained that while their primary goal is to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, they believe recommending Eisenkot, despite his camp not yet demonstrating sufficient readiness to confront Netanyahu's methods or combat incitement against Arab citizens, is important. They also noted that Eisenkot is receiving more recommendations than Netanyahu, and they wish to widen this gap. A delegation from the Joint List is scheduled to visit the President's Residence at 4:40 PM.
