The Bnei Brak Municipality recently conducted a comprehensive emergency drill to test its readiness for extreme scenarios, involving all department heads, municipal officials, and rescue services. The exercise, managed by a professional drill director from the Home Front Command, was led by Brigadier General Barak Cohen, commander of the Ganim district, and Brigadier General Sharon Malul, commander of Yekel, along with senior officers.

The drill was preceded by extensive preparation, including training sessions and professional work meetings with all municipal departments such as education, public information, and the municipal inspection unit. The Home Front Command provided professional guidance to ensure the proficiency of all participants.

Mayor Hanoch Seibert actively participated, closely monitoring the departments' performance. He praised Deputy Mayor and Head of Security Nir Ariel, Director of the Security and Emergency Department Haim Nogelblat, Deputy Director Lior Avitan, and the entire security team for their exemplary leadership and organization. The mayor highlighted the challenges posed by Bnei Brak's high population density and its large young population, which require special consideration during emergencies.

The drill simulated complex scenarios, including missile impacts and direct hits, focusing on immediate life-saving responses and close coordination among all emergency branches. The experience gained from recent conflicts was evident in the high professional level demonstrated by the officials. The Home Front Command provided feedback and identified areas for improvement, which the security department is now working to implement.

Special commendation was given to Lior Avitan for his skillful management of the drill. The Security Department stated that the drill's success was due to the excellent, experienced team of department heads and officials who ensure resident safety. The Director General of the Municipality, Yisrael Eirnshtein, emphasized that the drill demonstrated the strength of Bnei Brak lies in the unity of its systems and close cooperation between municipal departments and the Home Front Command.
