A new indoor padel club, Padelit, is set to open in Kiryat Ata, northern Israel, aiming to become one of the largest indoor facilities of its kind in the country. The club is located in the Kiryat Ata industrial zone and spans approximately 2,500 square meters, with 2,000 square meters housed within a closed structure. It features seven padel courts: six indoor and one outdoor, allowing play regardless of weather conditions. The facility boasts a 12-meter high ceiling, "Full Panoramic" courts by MejorSet, and professional MONDO turf.

The development of the club took about six months for planning and four months for construction. Padelit is designed as a comprehensive social and recreational hub, not just a sports venue. It includes a cafe and health bar, a gym, yoga facilities, a padel equipment shop, a viewing gallery, and seating and work areas suitable for meetings and remote work. A large central screen will be used to broadcast competitions and display game results.

The venture is spearheaded by Ronen Lam and Ayelet Cohen Rosenberg, who transitioned from the high-tech industry. They met while pursuing MBA degrees at Tel Aviv University. "Our love for the game led us to entrepreneurship in the field," they stated. They identified the potential of the former archive space with the help of property owner Yossi Assulin, his son Avihai, and their team.

Padelit is scheduled for a soft opening in the coming days, with court rentals beginning in mid-November. The official grand opening is planned for the Hanukkah holiday. By 2027, the club intends to add two more courts specifically designed for leagues and competitions, featuring standard wide borders and spectator stands.

"Our goal is to create a complete experience that combines sport, social interaction, and community," Lam and Cohen Rosenberg explained. "We didn't want to just set up a place to rent courts, but a home for the padel community in the north."
