El Al to Expand North and South American Flights to 63 Weekly

El Al, Israel's national airline, announced a significant expansion of its flight program to the Americas for the summer season of 2027. Starting in late March, the airline plans to operate 63 weekly flights to seven destinations, offering approximately 35,000 seats each week. This marks El Al's largest summer flight schedule to the Americas in its history.

The majority of flights will continue to serve New York, with a combined 36 weekly flights to JFK and Newark airports, averaging seven daily departures. Flights to Miami will increase by two to nine per week, and Los Angeles will see an additional weekly flight, also reaching nine. Boston will have four weekly flights, with connections available to Delta Air Lines domestic routes.

For the first time, El Al will offer direct flights to San Francisco, operating three times a week during the summer season. Additionally, the airline will introduce two weekly flights to Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of its summer schedule, though the Buenos Aires route itself is set to launch in late November 2026.

All flights will utilize Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring economy, premium economy, and business class cabins. Passengers can expect updated entertainment systems, menus, and amenity kits. According to Shlomi Zafrani, El Al's Vice President of Commerce and Sales, the expansion is driven by increasing demand from business travelers, tourists, and Jewish and Israeli communities in North and South America.
