The Northern District Planning and Building Commission has approved a plan for a new urban district on Acre's northern coastline. The project, dubbed "Northern Coast Re-Planning," will feature 2,322 housing units, approximately 400 hotel rooms, and a 90-dunam coastal park. It also includes promenades, a bathing beach, and commercial and employment areas.
The plan is part of Acre's "roof agreement," a government program aimed at accelerating housing construction. The new district is designed to integrate residential buildings, hotels, commercial spaces, and public open areas, connecting the new neighborhood to the city center.
The development was planned by Minad Architects, led by architect Yair Avigdor, on behalf of the Ministry of Construction and Housing in the Haifa District.
