Approximately 2,000 housing units are slated for marketing in the "Southern Gate" neighborhood of Tzfat by the end of the year, announced Yehuda Morgenstern, Director General of the Ministry of Construction and Housing, at a developers' conference in the city. Morgenstern emphasized Tzfat's attractiveness and potential, stating its development is crucial for the entire northern region's growth.

The conference, titled "Tzfat. Above and Beyond," was organized by the Tzfat Municipality and the "Minuf" administration to present future development plans to real estate developers and professionals. A key focus was the "historic" land agreement, which includes 7,294 housing units across eight development areas, extensive commercial and employment spaces, and hundreds of millions of shekels for infrastructure and public facilities. The "Southern Gate" neighborhood alone will feature about 4,000 housing units, significant commercial and employment zones, and new city access.

Additionally, the first tender for approximately 830 housing units in area M-8 has been published, alongside plans to expand the southern industrial zone with substantial employment and commercial space. Morgenstern reiterated the ministry's commitment to strengthening the north, highlighting the land agreement's role in facilitating large-scale construction and infrastructure investment.

Tzfat Mayor Yossi Cocon expressed his vision for the city to regain its status as the capital of the Galilee, attracting families and businesses through thousands of new housing units and expanded commercial areas. He invited developers to participate in the city's future development, noting the transition from planning to marketing and execution phases.

Discussions at the conference also included a professional panel addressing developers' questions on planning, land marketing, timelines, and project advancement. Ariel Olzwer, Director of the Northern District at the Ministry of Construction and Housing, detailed efforts to streamline processes and remove obstacles for developers, ensuring close cooperation with the municipality and "Minuf" administration to facilitate project success.
