Maccabi Tel Aviv Dominates Ramat Gan After Cup Final Loss

Maccabi Tel Aviv bounced back from their Toto Cup final defeat with a decisive 5-0 victory over Hapoel Ramat Gan on Monday, maintaining their lead in the Israeli Premier League. Goals from Elad Madmon, an own goal by Silva, Dor Peretz, and a brace from Aster Skulker secured the win. This performance followed a previous 6-2 thrashing of Hapoel Haifa.

Maccabi Tel Aviv coach Kenny Miller expressed satisfaction with the team's strong showing from start to finish, highlighting the importance of an early goal and another near the end. "We are very pleased after the disappointment on Thursday, back on the winning track, it was very satisfying," Miller stated. He emphasized the team's ability to recover from their derby loss, noting that "if you want to win a championship, you need to know how to come back after a loss to a game like this and win."

Miller also praised individual performances, singling out Dor Peretz for another "great performance" and noting his strong goal-scoring pace, along with Elad Madmon and Aster Skulker, who could have scored even more. "I always want more and for the team not to be satisfied, to continue as strong as possible until the last second," he added.

The coach acknowledged the upcoming important match on Friday and stressed that every game matters. "We are undefeated in the league and in first place, but we must keep moving forward to the next challenge. I am very pleased with how the team looks so far," Miller concluded.
