Clashes Erupt as IDF Evicts Jewish Outpost in Samaria, 18 Arrested

Clashes broke out between Israeli security forces and Jewish rioters during the evacuation of the "Orah Yisrael" outpost in the Samaria region. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Civil Administration began operations at the site after attempts were made earlier in the morning to block main roads in the area to prevent their arrival. Residents of the outpost barricaded themselves inside, and dozens of additional Israelis arrived following a call for reinforcement.

The IDF stated that forces were acting to enforce regulations against illegal construction established under a closed military zone order in an area near the village of Salfit. According to the army's announcement, violent and illegal activities have repeatedly originated from the location. The military further reported that rioters had set tires ablaze and erected roadblocks on main roads in the morning, intending to impede the forces' access.

Security forces cleared the roadblocks and completed their enforcement actions. The IDF claims that throughout the operation, dozens of rioters engaged in physical and verbal violence against the security forces, despite the forces' efforts to avoid physical confrontation. During the events, 18 suspects were arrested on suspicion of attacking security forces and disrupting their activities. Additionally, forces confiscated several vehicles, one of which contained incendiary materials, assault tools, and pepper spray. The detainees were transferred for investigation in the Judea and Samaria (Shai) district.
