A man in his 50s was killed and another man in his 40s sustained moderate injuries in a road accident involving a car and a truck on Highway 222 between Ratamim and Gvulot in the Negev region. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics pronounced the older man dead at the scene after finding him unconscious with no pulse or respiration and suffering from severe systemic injuries. The younger man, who had a chest injury, received life-saving medical treatment from MDA paramedics and was evacuated by MDA helicopter to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba in moderate condition.
Upon arriving at the scene, MDA paramedic Amit Bar Lev and emergency medical technician Shachar Meir Tsvi observed the car with severe damage. They found the man in his 50s inside, who was without signs of life. They also found the man in his 40s, who was moderately injured with a chest wound. They provided him with life-saving treatment and evacuated him by helicopter.
