New details have emerged in the investigation of a murder in Petah Tikva, where a 43-year-old woman was killed in her apartment on the night of November 2. Contrary to initial reports, the victim was not killed with an axe but with a butcher knife. The primary suspect is her husband, who allegedly inflicted numerous stab wounds on his wife before leaving the apartment. His body was later found a few hundred meters away, and authorities believe he committed suicide. The couple had four minor daughters, one of whom, a 12-year-old, discovered her mother's body in the living room. She alerted relatives, who then contacted the police and emergency services. Relatives and social services personnel attended to the children following the incident. Preliminary information suggests the family was not known to social services, and no prior complaints of domestic violence against the husband had been filed. The motive for the killing is still under investigation, and police are continuing their work. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released.
