Arkia, Israel's second-largest airline, has announced a new partnership with Israeli eSIM company Global Voye to offer discounted international data packages to its customers. This collaboration allows Arkia passengers to purchase global, regional, and US-specific data plans without needing a physical SIM card, with discounts ranging from approximately 20% to 36% off regular prices. As an added incentive, customers will receive 100 MB of free data with every purchase, enabling them to install and test the eSIM before departing Israel. For example, a 1GB data package for 30 days will be available for 20 shekels, down from the usual 29 shekels. These offers will be accessible to Arkia customers after completing their flight booking and will be presented during the order summary and check-in process. The discounted eSIMs can be installed before arrival at the destination. This initiative comes as Arkia recently updated its baggage policy, increasing the price for the first checked bag to $60 when purchased in advance (up from $50), while allowing an additional 3kg, for a total of 23kg. The price for a first bag purchased at the airport will rise to $100. Fees for additional bags also increase, with a second bag costing $80 in advance and $110 at the airport, and a third bag priced at $100 in advance and $120 at the airport.
