Michal Activist, a prominent investigative reporter for Channel 12 News, celebrated her 40th birthday, marking the first time she has celebrated the occasion in five years. Activist explained in a social media post that she had previously avoided celebrations due to the complex public and security situation in Israel. She stated, "In the past, in a previous life, I used to celebrate every birthday. I love birthdays." She described her decision to resume celebrating this year, noting, "This year, suddenly turning 40, the war ended (at least officially, though I organized the safe room again this morning, of course), there are no more hostages in Gaza, and the thought was that finally, there are elections and a real opportunity to celebrate the beginning of something new and good."

Despite her initial intentions, Activist admitted to feeling hesitant on the eve of the event, telling Eran, "Let's cancel, I won't be able to celebrate and let go." However, she was surrounded by loved ones who encouraged her to proceed. The celebration took place at the "Abraxas" bar in Tel Aviv, attended by close friends, family, and colleagues. Shimi Malka performed as the DJ.

Activist shared photos and videos from the event, humorously mentioning her Zara dress and describing herself as "someone who desperately wants things to be good here, and a typical girl who turns out to be 40." She concluded with a public-oriented message, "I wish my birthday wish comes true soon, even if not tomorrow, we will continue to fight for it."
