Al Jazeera released rare footage from deep within Hamas's underground tunnel network in the Gaza Strip, showing top leaders, including military wing commander Mohammed Deif and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, in various meetings and security consultations. The materials reportedly include direct documentation from Hamas's early planning stages for the October 7th terror attack and massacre.

One prominent video features a meeting of the Supreme Military Council of Hamas's military wing, described as the organization's highest command forum responsible for its military and operational strategy. The report states that all commanders present at this secret meeting have since been eliminated by Israeli security forces during the 'Swords of Iron' war.

Among those seen in the revealed meeting were Mohammed Deif and his deputy Marwan Issa. Also documented were brigade commanders from across the Gaza Strip, including Ahmed al-Ghandour (Northern Gaza Brigade), Mohammed Shabanah (Rafah Brigade), Ayman Nofal (Central Camps Brigade), Rafeh Salameh (Khan Yunis Brigade), Ez al-Din al-Haddad (Gaza Brigade), and Bassem Issa (former Gaza Brigade commander until 2021). Professional division heads present included Mohammed Odeh (Intelligence), Raed Saad (Military Production), Ghazi Abu Tammaa (Weapons and Combat Services), Hakim al-Issa (Training), Raed Thabet (Manpower), and Mohammed Sinwar (Operations).

Another video shows Mohammed Deif in a close conversation with Head of Intelligence Mohammed Odeh, Khan Yunis Brigade Commander Rafeh Salameh, and Hamas military wing spokesperson Hudhayfah Kahlout, known as Abu Obeida. In addition to video evidence from the bunkers, the network also revealed unique footage from an underground Hamas rocket production facility in Gaza, showcasing the preparation and assembly of rockets fired at Israel. Furthermore, an audio recording was published of a phone call between Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Deif from May 2021, during the ceasefire announcement ending Operation Guardian of the Walls. In the call, Sinwar warmly congratulates Deif on managing the campaign and offers encouragement.
