Palestinian police have arrested a resident of Nablus on suspicion of murdering and dismembering his 21-year-old fiancée, Tamara Amran, in Acre on Thursday. Medical sources reported that the suspect allegedly killed her, dismembered her body, and then fled the scene. Upon reaching Nablus, he reportedly called the police to confess to the murder.
A acquaintance of the victim stated that the perpetrator was Amran's fiancé and that he killed her after she discovered he was mishandling her finances. The acquaintance emphasized that the murder was not related to so-called "honor killings."
Medical officials described the crime scene as "horrific and painful," noting that parts of the victim's body were missing, rendering the corpse incomplete when it was transferred to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Israel. Due to the extreme brutality, investigators could not determine the murder weapon, whether it was a knife, axe, or saw, and the scene was described as particularly gruesome.
