Israeli police are expected to release three Ra'am party activists from house arrest. The activists were arrested on election day on suspicion of attempting to pay voters. A senior law enforcement official told Haaretz on Friday that the entire case originated from the Prime Minister's Bureau. While the findings necessitated an investigation, the official stated the incident was exploited for false propaganda, and currently, there is no evidence to support the suspicions.

The investigation into the three began after Ido Nordan, acting head of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bureau, provided information to Police Commissioner Dani Levy. The complaint alleged that Ra'am activists were holding envelopes of cash intended to bribe voters in the Negev region to vote for the party. In an unusual move, police raided the homes of the three without search warrants, finding the envelopes alongside ballots. The report that Nordan was the one who passed the information to the police was first revealed by Channel 12 News.
