Czech Republic Pursues Barcelona Prospect Oriane Goren for National Team

Oriane Goren, a promising young footballer with Barcelona, is attracting significant attention from the Czech Republic, who are hoping he will choose to represent their national team due to his Czech heritage. Pavel Nedved, the Czech National Teams Manager, has reportedly made an offer to Goren, suggesting a place directly in the senior squad. Nedved, a legendary former player, has expressed admiration for Goren's technical development, comparing him to players like Pedri and noting his typical Barcelona-style play.

The Czech media views Goren as a highly appealing prospect, suggesting he might have a better chance of participating in major tournaments with the Czech Republic than with Israel. They point out Israel's limited World Cup history and absence from the Euros, contrasting it with the potential opportunities for Goren with the Czech team. Goren, who currently represents Israel in youth selections, also holds Czech citizenship.

While Czech interest in Goren has been reported before, Nedved's public confirmation of contact and the desire to integrate him into the senior team marks a new development. However, Goren has not yet announced a decision regarding the offer or a formal call-up to the Czech national team.
