Yam Madar, the star basketball player of Hapoel Tel Aviv, recently exercised a contract clause allowing him to become a free agent, opening the door for a possible transfer. This development has intensified speculation about whether Madar will remain with Hapoel or join rival Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Madar's Serbian agent, Mishko Raznatovic, initially denied that negotiations with Hapoel had ended, stating that Madar's official notification to Hapoel did not mean talks were over and lamented the ongoing saga since February. However, Raznatovic later deleted this statement and replaced it with a more concise tweet confirming only that Madar had officially become a free agent by notifying Hapoel.
This sudden change in messaging from Raznatovic has sparked further rumors about Madar's potential move to Maccabi Tel Aviv, especially following earlier hints from Maccabi's co-owner, Arik Stillman, and other social media teasers. Madar himself has yet to make a final decision on his next team. The unfolding situation continues to attract attention in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
