The show's initial episodes garnered an average rating of 17.1% and approximately 436,000 viewers across all viewing platforms, including digital and VOD.
The series centers on a former security official who undertakes a dangerous rescue mission in South America. His objective is to help Yoel, a young man who escaped from an influential cult, extract his trapped family. The physical journey is intertwined with an emotional one, forcing the protagonist to confront his past traumas and unresolved personal pain.
Beyond the suspense and action, "The Escape" explores profound themes of family bonds, loyalty, and the extreme measures individuals will take for their loved ones. The show features a prominent cast, including Yehuda Levi, Ido Tako, Maor Schwitzer, Itai Turgeman, and Naya Binestock, who deliver intense and convincing performances.
Yehuda Levi's leading role in "The Escape" follows his success in last year's "Ha'Rosh" (Keshet 12), a spy thriller where he played the head of the Shin Bet. That series also achieved high ratings, averaging around 16% and selling internationally. With "The Escape" surpassing "Ha'Rosh" in viewership, Levi is reinforcing his status as Keshet 12's top performer for high-rated suspense dramas.
The series has outranked other popular dramas like "Ha'Bat," "Ratzach Be'Yam Ha'Melah," and "Be'Histura." The fourth episode airs tonight at 9:30 PM on Keshet 12, with expectations that viewership numbers will continue to climb.
