A senior UTJ official confirmed to Ynet that the primary condition for their support would be a law exempting ultra-Orthodox men from military conscription.
The official stated that Eisenkot has the option to form a government with Benjamin Netanyahu, but in that scenario, Netanyahu would be prime minister and Eisenkot a senior minister. "We are giving him the premiership," the official said, adding, "It's better than sitting as number 2 or repeat elections."
This proposal positions UTJ as potentially instrumental in forming a coalition, leveraging their parliamentary bloc to influence the leadership of the next government, contingent on securing the exemption from military service for the Haredi community.
