Moshe Feiglin, chairman of the Zehut Party, has called for the annulment of the recent elections and the holding of snap elections, citing suspicions of Qatari interference. In a video released on Thursday, Feiglin described the election results as "October 7th of Israeli politics" and accused Arab citizens of Israel of undermining the political process. He suggested that Arab citizens of Israel were responsible for what he termed a "damage to the political process."
Feiglin proposed that new elections be held without any campaign materials or propaganda. He also suggested that candidates be prohibited from making public statements until the re-vote and that the public be encouraged to participate again. Furthermore, he recommended stationing Border Police forces at the entrance to polling stations where Arab voters cast ballots, and conducting strict identity checks for voters. Feiglin also addressed women wearing burqas, stating that their faces and photographs must match their identity card details, and that any voter in doubt should be removed from the polling station pending identity verification.
Feiglin justified his call for new elections by claiming Qatari influence over Israeli politics. "It cannot be that Qatar will take over the Knesset, because that is what will happen here if there are no snap elections now," he stated. He added that the re-vote should occur without signs, campaigns, or public announcements to prevent external influence on the results.
